Been watching this board for a while & have not seen too much about the kubota 2710. I have had a lot of fun shopping for the past 2-3 years and I am very close to putting up $ for one. I am interested in any comments current owners may have. I plan on getting a 60" loader, 5' bush hog & a rear snowblower. Thanks

Dave, I have had a B2710 since spring '99 and can't say enough about it. I've compared it to most all the other major players (Deere, Massey, NH, not Cub but did inspect the brochure) and for what I needed (a true compact tractor)it came out ahead. I did like the JD but I would have needed to get a 4200 or 4300 to get the hp I wanted but then it was a little big and heavy for my taste. A comparable Kubota to the JD 42/4300 was the L series 3010 or 3710 in my opinion. The B2710 was like the size of the JD 4100 but with 27hp. I use it for mowing, landscape, traversing wood lot and etc. I love the extra hp when blowing snow and mowing or even pulling a box high speed. The 3 range trans is very nice and adds greatly to the speed and versatilaty of this machine. The engine runs smooth and clean, this is not something I could say for all the other makes! Hydraulics are strong ( 3 pt and loader very capable for this size tractor and even surprising). If you need a compact tractor, I would highly recommend it. You'll like having the extra hp lying in wait! However, (and you've probably already done this) it would be wise to inspect, drive, manipulate all the other tractors available before you make a decision. In fact I did this on all but the B2710 ironically. I did already own a B series tractor and felt that based on it's performance and the similarities between the smaller B series that it could only be better. I was right. (phew) :-)

I bought my B2170 last May and I'm extremely happy with it. I rolled up 105 hours today. It starts and runs great, and is real easy on fuel. I have a 54" loader bucket which I recommend for other than light duty use. I also have a 5' Rhino rotary cutter, which the tractor handles with ease, a 5' Rhino finish mower, and a box blade. I am bush-hogging 12 acres in about 7 hours. Would be less if not for a lot of trees I have to dodge. ....

Dave,I think the reason you do not see very many posts on the 2710,is because nobody is having any problems with them.Seems like Deere troubles dominate a lot of discussion on this forum.Nothing but praise for our 2710,only problem has been,we've not had any snow at all this winter,and I've not had any time at all to spend on the tractor...You can only blade the drive so many times.Don't think twice about buying the B2710,I'm positive you will not be sorry. ....

and sizes of 3pt hitch snowblowers others are using. ....

I got my B2710 on 8/12/99 and have 103 hours on it, using the front end loader (54" bucket), a 5' rear Bush Hog finish mower, 5' Howse brush hog, 5' Howse box blade, single bottom moldboard, and 40" Bush Hog tiller. It's great! And I leave the front end loader off when I'm mowing and tilling, and I've never seen any need for front weights. ....
